Carla Youbi (b. 2000, France) is a painter based in New York. She earned her BFA in Painting with a minor in Drawing from the Savannah College of Art and Design and her MFA at the New York Academy of Art. Her work has been exhibited in Florida, Georgia, and New York. With a background in jewelry-making, Youbi sculpts metallic flowers that become the subject of her oil paintings. Her work centers on the themes of permanence and fragility through the transformation of ephemeral botanicals into enduring metal forms.
